Entries open for Royal Australian International Beer Awards

Melbourne Royal has announced entries are now open to brewers wanting to participate in the 2024 Australian International Beer Awards.

The annual competition evaluates draught and packaged beer along with beer packaging design, with more than 2,826 entries coming in last year.

Breweries of all sizes are able to enter their beers into 35 categories; 11 of which have major trophies up for grabs including Champion Australian beer and Champion International beer.

Categories include West Coast-Style India Pale Ale, Dessert and Pastry Stout, Modern Lager, Modern Pilsner, and more.

All entries will be reviewed by an international panel which will be revealed closer to the judging process.

The winners will be announced at a presentation dinner on 16 May.

Entries close Friday 8 March, with judging taking place from 7-10 May.
