Bartending

Course Details

PubNetwork’s bartending course will equip you with the skills and the confidence you need to get that bar job you have been looking for. The course will cover everything you need to know, from pouring beers to tapping kegs to making cocktails and providing outstanding customer service.

Our bartending course also includes your Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate which is the only qualification you need to legally serve alcohol in Victoria.

Assessment

PubNetwork utilises competency-based assessment to demonstrate that you have achieved the skills and knowledge required by nationally recognised standards. To achieve competence in this course you will need to complete written assessments and skills demonstrations.

Course Duration

Bartending (Foundation) is a one weekend course:
Saturday and Sunday, 9.00am – 4.30pm*
This serves as an introduction to the skills required of a bartender.

Bartending Course has four sessions, run over two weekends:
Saturday and Sunday, 9.00am – 4.30pm*
This builds on the foundation training with additional practical skills and a greater preparation for employment as a bartender.

Certification

On successful completion of the course you will be issued with the nationally recognised Statement(s) of Attainment:

  • SITHFAB002 – Provide responsible service of alcohol

Entrance Requirements / Pre-requisites

  • Learners must be 16 years of age and over at the time of course commencement.
  • There are no pre-requisite units for this course.
  • Learners must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend onsite learning (Department of Education and Training, Victoria).
