After a sell-out debut back in 2021, natural wine and food festival Naturellement returns this May.
The two-day event will take place from 17-18 May at Galleria Ettalong Beach on the New South Wales Central Coast, with attendees set to experience the best natural, artisan, and small-batch beverages made by local producers handpicked by festival founders Mike Bennie and Kristy Austin.
“This is a celebration of NSW and the ACT’s artisan, boutique, and avant garde producers,” says Bennie. “It’s an opportunity to introduce Australians, particularly those in our large cities like Sydney and Melbourne, to regional centres like the Central Coast. [It has] a bounty of incredible food, wine, beer spirits and non-alcoholic drinks on offer, so why shouldn’t there be a festival that showcases and shares it with the rest of the country?”
There will be more than 120 beers, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks available for visitors to taste as well as culinary events headlined by chefs including Jake Kellie (Arkhe); Alanna Sapwell-Stone (The Eltham Hotel); Ash Cotter (Valentina); and Matt Stone (Ciao Mate; You Beauty). The chefs will be creating one-off dishes for the festival, with a full menu to be launched shortly.
A selecting of masterclasses presented by Plumm will also take place over the weekend, with sessions covering introductory wine education to amber and orange drops, Lambrusco tastings, and a talk titled ‘Wild Food Wild Wine’ hosted by drinks expert Bennie.
Local farmers, producers, and foragers will also take the stage to discuss topics such as sustainability, future trends, and regenerative farming with hosts Matilda Brown and Scott Gooding.
Early bird tickets are on sale for $55, which includes entry to one of four sessions, all talks, unlimited tastings, and a Plumm wine glass. Masterclass tickets are priced at $20.
