Two prominent Sydney hospo figures have come together to open the doors to Sana in South Eveleigh.
Blackwood’s Daniel Sorridimi and former Fish Shop chef Joel Bennetts have launched Sana, a venue that is targeting the lunch crowd with a range of signature bowls and rolls.
“After working on this concept for years, I am thrilled to finally be giving Sydneysiders a new and exciting way to dine and view fast casual,” says Sorridimi. “We have put so much emphasis on nutrition, taste, and ingredients, and Joel has brought this vision to life with a menu inspired by travel and life experiences.”
Bennetts was brought on board as culinary director, and says the menu offers diners plenty of choice.
“We have put so much consideration into designing a menu that is beautifully balanced and feels good to eat,” he says. “We know that people are going to love the whole experience at Sana, from the customisable ordering to the fresh ingredients and the balanced flavours.”
Launch bowls include the Evergreen which is made with poached chicken, pickled zucchini, feta, green olives, cucumber, coriander, red onion, and lemon and herb yoghurt and the Green Falafel with cucumber, red onion, pickled carrot, pink turnips, beets, and tahini.
For those looking for a carb fix, Sana has three potato roll options covering chilli chicken, lamb mince, and poached chicken fillings. There’s also a gluten-free bread option, which can be swapped in.
The drinks offering is focused on probiotic sodas, covering flavours of blackcurrant, strawberry vanilla, and mango passionfruit.
Sana is open Monday to Friday from 11am until 3pm.
