Lulu Rooftop & Bar opens today in sun-kissed Surfers Paradise with an indoor bar and dancefloor that can accommodate 140 guests, and a grand open-air rooftop that can host 210.
Executive Chef Justin Wise devised the menu which celebrates fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Share plates include mini tuna tacos and battered fish tacos, chargrilled Queensland prawns with garlic butter and lime, and crumbed heirloom carrots with hummus, chimichurri and seed granola.
A range of sandwiches, like the Lulu classic club sandwich; skewers, including the wagyu beef with burnt onion jam and fried shallot, and swordfish with cherry tomato and corn salsa; and salad bowls round out the menu.
The drinks menu revolves around cocktails with classics like pornstar martinis and margaritas, and Lulu signatures like the Lulu Spritz, Peach Velvets, and Passionfruit Therapies. Six frosé (boozy frozen cocktails) options are available, including a passionfruit long island iced tea.
The decor combines Miami’s art deco style with contemporary Gold Coast touches. The result is tropical greenery, rattan chairs and colourful tiles, paired with a marble bar top, custom wallpaper by local artist Jamie Peters, and comfortable booth seats.
“We’ve curated and perfected everything Lulu has to offer, from the entertainment line-up to the menu, it’s all ready and waiting to kick-off come opening day and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome locals and visitors through our doors,” says Venue Manager Steve Csutoros.
The day to night venue will host DJs and live music from Thursday to Sunday, and bottomless brunch will be available on weekends.
Lulu Rooftop & Bar is open from midday till 10pm Sunday to Wednesday, midday to midnight on Thursdays, and midday till 3am on Friday and Saturday.
