Renowned city guide 50 Best Discovery has added more than 600 new venues to its list including a number of Australian spots.
The platform now hosts profiles of 3,200-plus hospitality venues globally, with more than 260 restaurants and 120 bars included in the latest wave of additions.
The latest platform debuts also includes 240 hotels, which are the first ever to be included in the guide.
Hotels from Australia were included in that number, such as Sydney’s Ace Hotel, Ritz-Carlton Perth, Crown Sydney, Mornington Peninsula’s Jackalope Hotel, Brisbane’s The Calile, The Langham Gold Coast, and The Ritz-Carlton Melbourne.
The latest venues to hit the platform come from more than 100 cities globally, with a strong wave of spots hailing from Italy and Southeast Asia.
New Zealand’s Queenstown made the list with lakeside accommodation venue Rosewood Matakauri.
In the United States, New York bars Milady’s, Superbueno, and Mister Paradise and Chicago’s Meadowlark and Nine Bar were included in the list.
The new additions also included venues from three new cities in Japan: Top Note in Hiroshima, Bar Savant in Nara, and El Lequio in Okinawa.
In Italy, Villa d’Este, Nik’s Co. and Bentoteca made the cut, along with hotels Passalacqua and Le Sirenuse.
Botswana and Rwanda made their debut on the platform with Delta’s Xigera, and Musanze’s Singita Kwitonda Lodge.
More than 3,000 members make up the 50 Best Academy who judge and vote on venues to make the sought-after list.
50 Best Discovery currently features 93 Australian venues, including Sydney’s 10 William St, Bennelong, Bistrot 916, and Cantina Ok!; Melbourne’s Bar Margaux, Caretaker’s Cottage, and Byrdi; Adelaide’s Hellbound Wine Bar, Maybe Mae, and Restaurant Botanic; and Brisbane’s Alba Bar & Deli;
