Cucina Regina will open next year alongside an expected 50 new venues on The Star Brisbane’s riverfront terrace at Queen’s Wharf.
It’s the third venue from The Star’s Cucina restaurant group which also hosts Sydney’s Cucina Porto and the Gold Coast’s Cucina Vivo.
Cucina Regina will serve an authentic Italian offering with antipasto, wood-fire pizzas, and house-made pasta.
There is also set to be an emphasis on table-side offerings, with dishes finished next to guests and also a roaming dessert trolley.
“Those who have enjoyed the warmth and welcoming nature of our Italian venues will attest that our Cucina experience gives meaning to the heart of the home,” says The Star Brisbane General Manager Food and Beverage Dustin Osuch.
“Having first launched Cucina Vivo on the Gold Coast in 2014, I am thrilled to introduce our newest Cucina family member to Brisbane and bring one of our much-loved dining experiences into a city that is rapidly evolving into one of the nation’s top culinary destinations.”
The 160-seat venue has been designed by Tom Mark Henry and is set to encompass a casual yet warming feel inspired by Italian towns and villages.
Cucina Regina is set to open in 2024 at The Star Brisbane in the Queen’s Wharf precinct.
